As you know Blizzard removed the Molten Core attunement but they forgot to do one simple thing, allow Lothos Riftwaker to port you to Molten Core. If your not attuned Lothos does not offer the port so you are forced to run though Blackrock Depths to enter in the Molten Core portal. Since you’re making the run you might as well complete the attunement. I’m not sure that was intentional or a mistake on Blizzards part but I found it very annoying.
I know the attunement quest is extremely easy to complete and can take a 5 minute run to complete it or have a warlock summon you but I was not expecting it.
The night was not a total loss. After everyone got attuned we plowed through MC. The only thing we struggled with was the core hounds; the pack that you must kill within ten seconds of each other or their corpse will be re-ignited by the living hounds and they will come back to life. For some reason one pack would not die. After the hounds rezzed twice we finally killed them. Good times!
Then the impossible happened, the Bindings of the Windseeker dropped off of Garr. Unfortunately I did not win the roll but the WoW gods came to my aid because the individual who won the roll decided not to take the binding and passed it to the next high roll, which was me. Woot!
Now I am contemplating if I should try to get the other binding…

I did the Attunement as DK a few nights ago, and the good thing about BRD is that it drops huge amounts of everything. I was in there to learn Dark Iron Smelting, and figured that the achievement, the dark iron key, and attunement was simple to do too. Runecloth, Greens, Blues for DE, and I even got two purple BoE drops.
I’m tempted to do Onyxia / Marshal Windsor quest chain for the hell of it too.
I think they removed that chain, since Lady Prestor isn’t in Stormwind anymore.
so a friend of mine gave me some dragon sinew for my hunter and an epic 60 quiver. i know i know, it’s way old and there are better quivers out, esp with cataclysm coming out and what not. still, i’m bored and was curious as to how to get attuned to get the quest finished and what not.
so i solo’d with my t-rex – got the shadowforge key, and made it to the molten core entrance. i have the quest to become attuned, and i looked up the piece of rock i need to loot, but alas i cannot loot it. what the shit. kind of frustrating since i have spent at least an hour on this bs – dying to get the shadowforge key quest, getting lost and finally getting to fineous, getting back, repairing at the searing gorge fp, goign back in and solo’ing the upper city to the molten bridge. kind of pissed.
